What is TailSense?
TailSense is a mobile app for dog owners that tracks walks, measures energy level and alerts when your dog deviates from its baseline. Tracking happens via the phone you bring on the walk. The app uses GPS and motion sensors to calculate pull score, sniff stops and energy level.
How does the app measure my dog's energy level?
After 5 walks, TailSense builds a personal baseline. When your dog has lower energy than normal on a walk, you get an alert. Via the phone you bring on the walk, the app uses GPS for distance and speed, and motion sensors for leash pulls and sniff stops.
Is my data stored on my phone?
Yes. By default all walk data is stored only on your phone. When logged in you can sync walks to the cloud so you keep them when changing devices.
Is TailSense free?
TailSense is free during the pilot period. Payment or subscription may be introduced later – users will be notified in advance.
How many walks can I take without an account?
You can take 3 walks without creating an account. After that, you need to register to keep using TailSense. Your existing walks are saved.
